Anyone who would like to discover the medieval side of South Tyrol and follow in the footsteps of its history should not miss the Three Castles 🏰 Hike at Appiano, at the foot of Mount Gantkofel. This varied circular trail follows route no. 9 to Hocheppan Castle, one of South Tyrol’s most important medieval fortifications. From there, the trail continues to the ruins of Boymont Castle, before leading back to Castle Korb, the starting point of the hike.
